Join our team We’re proud to achieve Disability Confident Leader Status In September 2025, we were officially awarded Disability Confident Leader accreditation, the highest level within the UK Government’s Disability Confident scheme. This recognition, approved by the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) and independently verified by one of our valued community partners, reflects our ongoing commitment to creating an inclusive, accessible and supportive workplace for disabled colleagues and applicants. Becoming a Disability Confident Leader demonstrates that we not only meet the national standard for inclusive employment practices but actively champion them. It affirms our dedication to removing barriers, improving recruitment and retention, and driving continuous improvement across our charity. Craig Hardaker, Director of People and Culture, said: “Achieving Disability Confident Leader status is a powerful milestone for us. It reflects the values we stand for and our commitment to ensuring that every colleague feels supported, respected and able to help us achieve our mission and vision for the Hospice. I’m incredibly proud of what we’ve achieved together.” This accreditation is an important step in our wider Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) journey, and we look forward to building on this progress in the years ahead.
