More than 500 people took part in the exclusive Test Track Ten Races on Saturday 16th May 2026.
Organised by charity St. Luke’s Hospice in partnership with Ford Britain Trust, the popular Test Track Ten Races were uniquely set within the grounds of the Ford Dunton Campus in Laindon, Essex.
The charity’s flagship running event has been embraced by runners since 2013 and provides a unique opportunity to race exclusively on the Ford test track, which is otherwise inaccessible to the public.
There were three distances to choose from; the accredited and timed distances of either 10 miles or 10km, and a 2.5km Fun Run for those wanting a faster run, as well as younger participants aged 5+ and groups of walkers. This year’s event also included a fancy-dress category.
Trophies were awarded to the first three finishers of the 10 miles and 10km races across different categories, as well as an award to the first finishers in fancy dress.
Kerry Chambers, Community and Events Fundraising Manager, said; “We were delighted to welcome so many runners, walkers and supporters to this year’s Test Track Ten Races. The atmosphere throughout the day was fantastic and it was wonderful to see the community come together once again in support of St. Luke’s Hospice.
“A huge thank you goes to everyone who took part, our incredible volunteers, our partners at Ford Britain Trust, and the many local businesses who helped make the event possible. Every mile completed and every pound raised will help us continue providing vital care and support to local people and their families when they need it most.”
Thank you to the Bag Storage sponsor, H.W.Wilson Limited.
