Ford hits the road in support of St. Luke’s Hospice Ford Motor Company has partnered with St. Luke’s Hospice to unveil a newly branded trailer that will travel across the UK, proudly raising awareness of the charity’s vital work. Used by Ford Motor Company to transport vehicles, the trailer has been fully wrapped in St. Luke’s Hospice branding as part of the company’s ongoing commitment to supporting the charity, and will help to shine a spotlight on the Hospice, and the care and support it provides to local people and their families. Dave Gwilliams, Ford Communications Officer, said: “Essex-based Ford employees are proud to have supported St Luke’s Hospice for many years and in many different ways. The Dagenham Transport Operations team have been key to many of the events Ford employees have supported the hospice with and it is fantastic to see their support continuing in this way. Seeing the transport trailer ready to hit the roads with the St Luke’s branding is a great example of Ford working in the local community.” The initiative builds on Ford’s longstanding support of the Hospice, with Ford Britain Trust working in partnership with the charity to deliver its annual running event, the Test Track Ten Races. The fundraiser, held at the iconic Ford Test Track in Dunton, features a 10-mile race, 10k race and 2.5k family fun run. Kerry Chambers, Community and Events Fundraising Manager at St. Luke’s Hospice, said: “We’re incredibly grateful for the ongoing support from Ford Britain Trust and Ford Motor Company. Having St. Luke’s Hospice branding displayed on the trailer is a fantastic opportunity to bring awareness of the Hospice, and the vital work and services provided to people in our community. We remain so grateful to The Ford Britain Trust for their dedicated support of the Test Track Ten Races, which helps to raise vital funds, on a truly unique course.” The Test Track Ten Races will take place on Saturday 16th May 2026 within the grounds of the Ford Dunton Campus in Laindon, Essex. Organised by St. Luke’s Hospice in partnership with Ford Britain Trust, the popular event offers three distances: an accredited and timed distances of either 10 miles or 10 km, both very popular with seasoned runners, those looking to step up from their usual 5K and those taking part with friends from community groups or businesses. For fun runners, walkers and families, the special 2.5k distance still takes place on the unique test track at Dunton, and all those who complete any of the distances receive a very special medal. New for 2026 is a fancy dress category, with trophies awarded to the first male and female to cross the finish line in fancy dress for both the 10 mile and 10km races. The races are open to all participants - experienced runners, walkers, wheelchair users, novice joggers and the 2.5km distance for children ages 5+ accompanied by an adult. St. Luke’s Hospice is proud to champion inclusive sport and welcomes wheelchair users to take part in all races. The courses are suitable for all wheelchair types, with IPC-approved racing chairs or Race Runners recommended. The Test Track Ten Races is a UKA licenced event. All runners who pre-register for the 10 mile, 10K or 2.5km races will receive a very special St. Luke’s Hospice medal. To register, visit https://www.stlukeshospice.co,/test-track-ten-races.
