Hospice Care Week Hospice care is more than you think. This Hospice Care Week (6–12 October 2025), we’re joining hospices across the country to celebrate the little things that make a big difference in hospice care. At St. Luke’s Hospice, we know it’s often the small moments of kindness that mean the most — a reassuring smile, a hand held in a difficult time, a favourite song played, or a quiet cup of tea shared with a loved one. These simple gestures bring comfort, dignity and peace when and where they are needed most. Why Hospice Care Week matters Hospice Care Week is a chance to raise awareness of the vital work hospices do every day, supporting people living with life-limiting illnesses and their families. It’s also a moment to celebrate the dedication of our staff and volunteers, who go above and beyond to ensure that every person feels valued, respected and cared for. Celebrating our team We’ve asked our team to share their special Hospice moments Every volunteer and staff member plays a unique role in making St. Luke’s Hospice very special. You’ll learn from their stories across our social media throughout the week their memories shared in their own words.
