Book a collection for your furniture donations

Thank you for supporting St. Luke’s Hospice, your donations help us raise vital funds to continue providing support in our community.

If you have furniture or large items you’d like to donate to our shops, we offer a free collection service to make things easier for you (subject to terms and conditions).

Please read the information below before booking your collection, to ensure we’re able to accept and transport your donation.

Terms & conditions of our collection service

1. Driver’s discretion

All collections are carried out at the driver’s discretion. This means the driver will assess your item(s) on arrival to confirm whether they can be accepted. We recommend receiving a decision ahead of time to ensure we’re able to accept and transport your donation. Please email clear photographs of the items to [email protected] before your collection date.

2. Donation standards

We kindly ask that all donated items are in a clean, saleable condition:

✅ Upholstered furniture must have the original 1988 Fire Safety label attached.

❌ We are unable to accept items with:

Damp, mould, or any signs of infestation
Chemical or perfume spills
Animal hair or odours
Smoke damage or strong smoke odours
Dark wood

3. Safe access

It is the householder’s responsibility to ensure that items are accessible for collection.

Please make sure large or bulky items are easily accessible with no obstructions and there is a clear path to the collection point and vehicle.

Please note:

Our drivers and volunteers are not authorised to remove doors, windows, or fixed furniture.
They cannot dismantle any furniture items.
They are unable to transport items down stairs.
They cannot move items if there is a risk of damage to your property or injury to themselves.

4. Help us help you

To ensure a smooth collection, it’s helpful to let us know about any access restrictions (e.g. narrow hallways, parking difficulties) when you book your collection or speak to staff in-store.
