Support your Hospice Blue Heart Appeal We’re often reminded of just how many lives have been touched by our care over the years. Behind that care is a team of extraordinary people - doctors, nurses, healthcare assistants, and so many others - who give not just their expertise, but their compassion and time to support patients and families through palliative and end-of-life care, whether in our hospice or out in the community, ensuring no one has to face these moments alone. For many, St. Luke’s Hospice is a constant, reassuring presence, rooted in the communities we serve. Some may assume that we’ll always be here, just as we are now. Unfortunately, the Hospice continues to face significant financial pressures and without your support this is sadly not guaranteed. Recent increases in our essential costs, together with continued demand for our services, means that in the 2025-26 financial year we anticipate a financial shortfall of over £350,000. DONATE TO OUR BLUE HEART APPEAL TODAY ORDER YOUR ST. LUKE'S HOSPICE HEART We can’t do this alone. Caring together is the only way we can continue to be there for the people who need us most, like Natalie (Nat), her husband Chris, and their teenage sons Kyan (age 18) and Woody (age 16). Read Nat's Story DONATE TO OUR BLUE HEART APPEAL TODAY Nat was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2017 and despite having various treatments, she was told she had secondary breast cancer two years later. When Nat’s health began to deteriorate in 2023, Chris reached out to us to find out what the Hospice could offer. “Nat loved life. She was independent and a true inspiration - a wonderful, kind and loving person. Nat never let herself be defined by her treatment or illness and the Hospice’s support played an important part in making this possible.” - Chris Sansom, Nat’s husband. Kyan and Woody reflect on the care their mum, Nat, received: “St Luke's Hospice helped both of us through the most difficult time of our life. We felt supported and treated with kindness by the staff but most importantly we could see how well Mum was being looked after”. Nat’s story is just one example of why it is so important that we carry on providing our services for those who need us. Donate today and help us care together.
